We are so excited to announce this matching gift! What a blessing and opportunity, bringing us a very real possibility of ordering the printing press on January 1st! We have two months to maximize this match, and we will need everyone to participate.
“Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish.
After a month or so of not much movement on the campaign for the printing press, this may be Jesus telling us to cast on the other side of the boat…we are trusting Him to provide the miracle.

Uganda Update
|
We are incredibly grateful for the work the Lord is doing in Uganda and wanted to share a thank you message and update from Laxon, a college student/friend we supported, in starting a print and photo copy business. Through the generosity of a few donors, he is now able to support himself. Laxon has shown remarkable character and potential, and we are excited about the possibility of him helping to run the printing press in the future. The Lord’s work never ceases to amaze us, and we are thankful for the opportunity to play a small role in supporting individuals like Laxon.

“Greetings,
I am grateful for the gift of life and health from our Lord Jesus Christ. I would like to express my appreciation to the Family of Mr. Eric and their church in the USA for their kindness and generous support both spiritually and financially during my times of depression and sickness. Your contribution and support last year in November 2022 helped me purchase a small stationary business where I previously worked, paid my school fees, and earned a living.
I give glory to God for everything. I would like to inform you that I am using my savings to improve my business. I bought a second-hand camera for taking passport photos and printing them, which has become my primary source of income. However, my second-hand printer’s board is now spoiled, and I cannot afford a new one. I have also purchased an Electrical Popcorn machine, which I use to sell popcorn in the evening in front of my shop, increasing my income.
I am facing some religious challenges as I am a born-again Christian, but I am being forced into the Adventist Faith, making me attend prayers on Saturday and miss church on Sunday. I request your prayers and support as I plan to rent elsewhere for accommodation, though I am not yet stable.
Thank you.”

His current landlord who is a Seventh Day Adventist, has been providing a free place for him to stay on the condition that he attend their church. He has been uncomfortable with this situation for some time and hopes to get to a point where he can move out and get his own place.
If you are interested in helping him obtain a new printer for his business, the estimated cost is $200. Just write Laxon in the memo or comments, and we will make sure he gets it.

Christmas Tree Lot Fundraiser!
|
 |
We are less than a month away from the start of our Christmas Tree fundraiser. As I mentioned in the last newsletter, we have 200 Frasier Fir trees on order. We’ve already started decorating. We hope to see you there!
We will be set up at The Flavor Market off of Hwy 50 just East of Lone Jack, MO. Here is a link to their website and their address:
|
 |
For those of you within a short drive to Kansas City, we hope you will come by and say hello. We will be there beginning November 24th from 9AM-9PM. There’s nothing like a fragrant Frasier Fir tree to make your Christmas special, while supporting a great cause at the same time. Flavor Market has amazing gluten free baked goods (you would never know they were gluten-free). Ami, the owner can make you just about anything too, so you can do custom orders as well. There will be all sorts of delicious treats that melt in your mouth. My mouth is watering, just writing this. We also plan to have some of our all-natural homemade products for sale that we love and have made/used for years. They will make perfect gifts for others or a treat for yourself.
-
We plan to make homemade soap, lotions, lip balm, headache salve, vapor rub, calming salve, laundry detergent, and other products for this fundraiser! This event should be lots of fun! We hope to see you there!
-
We are praying this event is fruitful and allows us to reach our goal faster with the printing press need and our return.
If you are further away, but would like to contribute towards this ministry project, please note that when you are giving. And, we thank you for being part of this journey with us!

Prayer Requests
|
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;”- Phil 4:6
-
Join us in praise to God for all that He is doing in Uganda through ReforNations and HUG.
-
Pray that the Lord will provide the needed funds to send us back to Africa, and sustain us while we are there. We are eager to get back as a family to be the hands and feet more, as we have been called.
-
Pray for Africa, as nations stand up for Biblical family values in the face of Western pressure to accept perversions.
-
Pray for Christian Education in Africa, and specifically the Christian homeschooling movement as it grows, parents and pastors, and that Christ will be exalted!
-
Pray that the Lord will provide this needed printing press while we have such an open window of opportunity in Uganda.
|
<< Test Greeting >>, May the Lord bless you for all the love, support and prayer you have shown toward our family and the people of Uganda!
Living for eternity,
The Holmertz Family
P.S. Our website and email were down for two weeks due to a problem with our host. We have now switched our hosting and all seems to be back up and running. If you sent an email or tried to visit the site and were unable please try it again:)
P.S.S. Even while we are here in the USA, we still rely heavily on your generous support for our family, and we thank you for sustaining us in this mission.
